Fishing the Uncompahgre River near Montrose, Colo.
Film Tour. Montrose, Colo. This Saturday. Be There (If You Can).
I always enjoy a chance to get to Montrose/Telluride area of Colorado, because that’s where I did a lot of fishing in my growing up years. It’s a special region, with a great fishing community, and more wild backcountry water than you could hike to in a lifetime.
This Saturday, April 14, I will be there for a stop of the Fly Fishing Film Tour. Before the film event, we’ll be trying out different fly rods at the Montrose Pavilion, and around 4 p.m. I’ll do a little talk on cool tricks and tips that I picked up in faraway places, that I am applying to trout fishing in the Lower 48 more and more. I’m happy to answer any questions, chat about TU and what we’re doing with Trout Media, whatever people want.
You can get event details here and please remember that this is a benefit for the Uncompahgre River.
Any insights on the Fly Fishing Film Tour from those of you who have seen it thus far? Anything I should be on the lookout for?
