I use a variety of knots, both on the water and in the rigging process. Perhaps none is quicker, easier and more dependable than the simple perfection loop.
Here, Tim Flagler of Tightline Productions demonstrates just how easy the perfection loop is to tie, and not just for what I’d consider the “standard” use of tying leader to a fly line. Flagler shows us how to use the perfection loop to tie flies to tippets, with the understanding that the loop allows for more motion for the flies once they hit the water.
Practice a bit, and you’ll get it down. It’s easy. It’s fast. And it’s strong.
Good luck.
