What does it take to plant 22,685 trees, restore nearly 60 miles of trout stream and reconnect 166 miles through dam and culvert removals?
It takes you, Orvis… and just $10.
From now through Sept. 24, through the Orvis Giveback Days, when you give $10 to TU’s Embrace A Stream grant program you’ll get a $10 coupon from Orvis. You’ll also receive a free TU membership for you, or to give to a friend or family member.
Donate now and your support will join that of thousands of other anglers and conservationists to fuel TU volunteer projects in every corner of the country through our flagship grant program.
In the last three years, Embrace A Stream has funded more than 105 chapter-led conservation projects, spread across 30 different states thanks to volunteers who contributed 40,777 hours of their time and talent. Since 1975, Embrace A Stream has made possible more than 1,100 projects with over $4.75 million in grants.
Orvis, whose 5 percent-for-conservation commitment continues to make them one of the leading corporate supporters for river restoration, has provided more than $75,000 to Embrace A Stream in the past three years.
Projects funded by Embrace A Stream empower local TU members and volunteers to take care of the rivers they love in the place they live. Whether it’s a small dam being removed, a stream side riparian buffer planting, or an in-stream habitat project, these efforts leverage an army of volunteers to make every dollar donated go that much further.
