Virginia’s Mossy Creek holds a special place in the hearts of many who have fished this Shenandoah Valley spring creek. Though known for its big trout, it has been suffering from the effects of pollution and erosion. TU’s Seth Coffman has been working on restoring Mossy Creek, restoring the curves of the stream and helping prevent further erosion. Last month, the stream was rechanneled, an old dam was removed and its now on its way to recovery.
Seth was interviewed about TU’s work on Mossy Creek in a recent segment on WSLS, a Roanoke television station. It’s a nice piece about our work on Mossy Creek–you can also see some of Seth’s tight loops on camera.
