Alaska’s Bearclaw Lodge is where epic Bristol Bay fishing, breathtaking scenery, and a family-run lodge that feels like home, combine to offer the perfect Alaska fishing vacation. Come experience some of Bristol Bay’s most diverse fisheries at your home base on Lake Aleknagik, located near the southern edge of Wood-Tikchik State Park, a short drive from Dillingham, Alaska.
Guests at Alaska’s Bearclaw Lodge enjoy a serene, peaceful, atmosphere while at the lodge, and an adrenaline-filled, action-packed fishing adventure while on the water. Bearclaw Lodge combines the technical fishing know-how, with a family-run and oriented hospitality style, to produce a relaxing, diverse, and rewarding lodge experience.
Alaska’s Bearclaw Lodge provides an intimate atmosphere with a maximum occupancy of 10 guests. Five guides on staff mean that you will enjoy very personal attention with two guests attended by each guide.
What we do
From fishing resident species like rainbow trout and Arctic grayling on dry flies on the Agulowak River to multi-day flyouts for king salmon on the Nushagak River to tributary hikes throughout the system to target char, trout, and grayling, this Alaska fishing lodge offers awesome Alaska fishing packages all summer long.

Pacific salmon: King Salmon, Silver Salmon, Chum Salmon, Sockeye Salmon, Pink Salmon

Alaska fishing opportunities abound at Bearclaw Lodge in Bristol Bay. Located on the shores of Lake Aleknagik, this Bristol Bay lodge offers freshwater fishing in the rivers, lakes, and creeks within the productive Wood River system, as well as epic flyouts to the Nushagak River.
