About Us
New River Fly Fishing is run by veteran fishing guide Mike Smith, who has over 20 years of experience guiding on the New. Mike is also the author of Fishing the New River Valley: An Angler’s Guide and a fly designer for Flymen Fishing Company.
What we do
Guided float trips for smallmouth bass, muskie, walleye, and wild trout. Wade only trips are run on our privately stocked trout stream where we also provide on the water instruction and introductory fly-fishing lessons.
Where we do it
The New River, its tributaries, and the Smith River in Virginia.
