The Pere Marquette River Lodge is a fly fishing outfitter and lodge nestled on the banks of the world famous Pere Marquette River. Our full service fly shop is a Platinum Level Orvis Dealer that is staffed to meet your every need while ensuring anglers’ best destination fishing experience. Our guide staff is well versed on many of the local waters: Pere Marquette, White, Pine, Ausable, Manistee and the Muskegon.

Where we do it
Once a grayling fishery, the Pere Marquette watershed was the first place in America where German brown trout were stocked in 1884. The PM isn’t impounded by a dam, making it one of the longest free-flowing rivers in the Midwest and a great fishery for anadromous Great Lakes salmon and steelhead. The PM’s resident brown trout and rainbow trout gorge themselves on eggs from lake run fish from fall through spring. Some of the PM’s best trout fishing is done after dark, with prolific Drake and Hex hatches in the summer, as well as mousing when the conditions are right. You’ll also find other hatches including caddis, stoneflies, Hendricksons, sulphurs, and isonychias.
