About Us

Trout Creek Outfitters – Truckee’s local fly-fishing hub – has everything you need to get ready for your time on the water. Our friendly and knowledgable staff has decades of experience fishing the waterways of streams and lakes in the Tahoe region.

What we do

The shop is fully stocked with everything you need to help you get out on the water – we carry all of the latest rods, reels and gear from Simms, Orvis, Sage, Galvan, Rio, Redington, Umpqua, Fishpond and many more! And you get to talk with Miles or Scotty about what’s working out there right now. They know.

Where we do it

We are based in Downtown Truckee, CA and fish all of the surrounding waters, including Pyramid Lake in Norther Nevada, a mere hour and fifteen minutes away. The Truckee River flows through Town a block away from our store and there are many great options to get on the water within a fifteen minute drive.
