It’s that time of year again… the annual Fly Fishing Film Tour is likely coming to a theater near you, and the films’ trailers are out and about for general consumption.
Here’s one, as an angler and a conservationist, that ought to capture your attention.
From Off the Grid Studios, “The Whitewater” captures the passion of a couple as they work to protect the best places to fish, both in their home waters in Oregon, and in Alaska. Both places face existential threats from the chainsaw and the open-pit mine.
There are more films, obviously, to be released during the film tour (of which TU is a proud recurring sponsor), but this film deserves a good watch. It’s inspiring … and heartbreaking.
