    Taking rafting to extremes

Would you float the highest commercially rafted waterfall in the world?  If you’ve been lucky enough to visit New Zealand, you know what an amazingly spectacular place it is. You also know the Kiwis take their extreme sports quite seriously and typically push everything to extremes.   Well, their approach to rafting is no different.   While…

    A boat trailer’s curse

Some things aren’t meant to last a lifetime. It was a good run of nearly six years, but I think it’s time to part ways with an old friend. I’m not a superstitious person but this raft trailer is cursed. I’m sure of it, which is why I’ve chosen to cut it loose on the…

The camping was fantastic, company spectacular, weather was great, and the fishing pretty darn good. I brought a brand spanking new Tornado Anchor to test specifically on these floats (more on that later). Problem…

    A raft without air?

How a small leak can mean big problems down the line in·flat·a·ble /inˈflādəb(ə)l/ Inflatable. Pretty simple to infer what it means, but by definition it’s the capability to be inflated with air. It also happens to be one of the most important components for any inflatable raft, kayak or paddle board. A couple weeks ago, after…
