New Zealanders really do have it all.
Not only do they have some of the best dry-fly trout fishing on the planet at their fingertips, but they’re a short hop away from tropical destinations like Aitutaki, the “land of bones.”
I realize that we here in North America enjoy our share of quality trout and salmon fishing, and can get to some high-end bonefishing ourselves, but the Southern Hemisphere is a tad less developed and a bit more wild, offering some great adventure fishing for anglers willing to hop a plane now and then.
For now, I’ll just enjoy it from half a world away.
Some day, though… some day…
