Breaking Conservation News

From the President
Keep it Roadless
Our public lands help to define the freedoms inherent in being American. Roadless areas are the best of what remains of those lands. They filter clean water for millions of Americans. They support some of the finest fishing and hunting on the planet.
Press Release
Proposed Roadless rescission moves forward, putting tens of millions of acres of public land at risk
This would eliminate widely-supported protections on more than 45 million acres of roadless public land throughout the United States.
Fishing
Roadless areas are your secret fishing spot
These lands are home to native trout and salmon where 70% of them find refuge. This includes cutthroat trout in the Rockies, brook trout in Appalachia and salmon and steelhead in the Pacific Northwest.
Conservation
Read the Report: Roadless: America’s Sporting Lands
Our latest report illustrates how our outdoor traditions depend on maintaining strong safeguards for roadless areas.

Defend Roadless Public Lands
These areas protect some of the last intact trout and salmon habitat in the country, and rescinding the Roadless Rule would eliminate those protections nationwide.
Make your voice heard. The public comment period is open now through September 21st.
