Fish and Game Director and former head of NM Oil and Gas Association to speak out against drilling in Valle Vidal

Teleconference set for Thursday, Aug. 18, 10 a.m. Mountain TimeConservation organization Trout Unlimited is hosting a teleconference on Thursday, Aug. 18 at 10 a.m. (MDT) to discuss threats to New Mexicos Valle Vidal the Yellowstone of the Southern Rockies.

The Valle Vidal in northern New Mexico is a pristine wilderness, home to some of the largest trophy bull elk in North America and prime habitat for native Rio Grande cutthroat trout. These and other fish and wildlife values in the Valle Vidal are compromised by a proposal to develop coal-bed methane.
