TROUT UNLIMITED HIRES DIRECTOR FOR ITS IDAHO WATER OFFICE
Idaho Falls, ID Trout Unlimited (TU) has hired an Idaho native and experienced land resource expert to head up its Idaho Western Water Office.
Kim Goodman, who was raised in eastern Idaho, will serve as the director of TUs Idaho Water Project. The Project works cooperatively with landowners and state and federal resource agencies to protect and restore trout, salmon and steelhead habitat in the state.
Goodman formerly worked as a land restoration specialist with the Teton Regional Land Trust and served in the Idaho Field Office of the Nature Conservancy.
Kim Goodman brings a wealth of knowledge and a long-time working relationship with Idaho landowners to the position. She will be a tremendous asset in our efforts to cooperatively protect and restore Idahos trout, salmon and steelhead fisheries, said Mike Clark, the director of Trout Unlimiteds Western Water Project.
Trout Unlimited is the nations largest coldwater conservation organization dedicated to the protection of trout, salmon and steelhead populations and the watersheds upon which they depend. In addition to Idaho, the organizations Western Water Project works in the states of Utah, Wyoming, Colorado and Montana.
Trout Unlimited has approximately 143,000 members nationwide, including more than 2,300 members in the Idaho Council who participate in local partnerships with landowners.
